
During the campaign for Sumatran tiger protection that was held in Jakarta today, an activist of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) paint himself like a Sumatran tiger crouch near a large poster of tiger like you can see on the image. The Sumatran tiger, which also known as Panthera tigris sumatrae, according to WWF is the world's most critically endangered tiger subspecies. WWF have estimated that there are only less than 400 tigers remain in the wild. It's so tragic compared to about 1,000 in the 1970s. The tigers' diminishing population is largely blamed on poaching and the destruction of their forest habitat for palm oil and wood pulp plantations.
